OW! OW! OW!

The friendly dudes from The Oddword got some early support here, but it's been a really long time since I featured them in a post. I hope this post makes up for that!

After their smashing live-sets and cool original tracks, the boys also showed themselves to be prime quality remixers this year. The pope of dope and Jump from Dj Antention were the first remixes that got us all jumping and screaming, but recently they've made some new ones... And they might be even better than the ones I mentioned before!!! "Heavy" from Soda & Suds was a track that I liked a lot, but The Oddword remix really gave it a fresh approach. They just did what they always do: heavy basses, a ravey feeling, and last but not least: an overall approach that makes you want to jump around, scream, punch your mother because she doesn't stop complaining that you party too much.
Exactly the thing an electro track should do if you ask me!

I basically got the same stuff to tell about the second remix I'll be giving you, "Fuck You" from Distrakt. This made me yell FUCK YOU! to everyone who wanted to hear it today, I guess I'll need some time to make new friends again...
Not that the track isn't worth it, pretty fair deal if you ask me!

Get Rough

Distrakt is fast becoming one of the best Australia has to offer for dancefloors around the world. Currently on tour destroying Europe (tour dates above), he has sent a new remix through and was the perfect monday morning wakeup call. The track builds up nicely into an off beat drop which is accompanied with one of his signature distorted synth lines.

The Shaved Monkeys EP will be out soon on Crux Records with Distrakt, Underhall, Soda 'N' Suds & Aerotronic on remixing duties.

No inspiration for a title, let the tunes speak!

So many good tunes lately, it's hard to pick out the ones that really stand out...
I'll give you some tracks by ratrabbits favorites, Gtronic, Felix Cartal and Dirty Disco Youth.

The "Pumpin" Ep by Nt89 and Distrakt will be released on vinyl the 15th of this month, and the 1st of march, but for those who can't wait, we have the Gtronic remix for you. This Ep is supported by basically every artist that we love, so you better love it too!

(Thanx to Noize Degeneration)

Felix Cartal (real name Taelor Deitcher) seems to be in a very busy mood, a few months ago he released Drone, but after that it became a little bit silent about this talented Canadian... With his album coming up, the rmx's seem to flow thick, something you should thank god for! This one doesn't have the famous "big drops" that we're used too, it's more a continuously vibe going on, which works great.
I'm so hyped about the album, so we'll definitely will keep you posted about that!

NROTB - Droplet (Felix Cartal Rmx)

Dirty Disco Youth remixed Wolfgang Gartner's mix of Britney spears's "3", and now the annoying vocals are completely destroyed, NICE! Some real hard noize in there, which is always good when you remix a sucky pop song.

Forgetting About The Past: The Future

The Australian upcoming producer Distrakt sent us his new original track called "The Future".

Pretty hard, pretty awesome. Makes you go crazy, even just sitting on your chair behind your computer.

I love the vocals he uses when the tracks builds up into the climax: looks like some Alien is trying to make you something clear.

Just find it out for yourself:

The Sound Of Destruction

Aerotronic is a band of three young and talented dj's from the city of Antwerp who make very trashy songs and remixes.

"Eat" remixes a track
from the Belgian trashmetal band "Angelskin".

The remix is just a piece of the most distorted electro you can find! Sebastian's old tracks are from the same grade of "hardness".

Aerotronic - Eat

Frequency samples (guess what) Altern8's rave classic "Frequency" and Aerotronic added their hard, distorted sound to the original.

Supermode's house classic "Tell me why" gets an electro make-over, I LIKE!

Also listen to their new track "Helicopter" on their myspace.

Bonus:

Italian producer NT89 sent us his latest track, called Foxes. For those who have never heard of NT89: he made remixes for Blatta & Inesha, Tiga and Brodinski and his songs get played at bbc radio 1 sometimes.

Also look out for his collaboration with the Australian upcoming producer Distrakt. Their track is called Pumpin' and it destroys dancefloors. (Already remixed by Gtronic and BeataCue + played by Kissy Sell Out and Jaymo / Andy George on Radio 1)

Partyharders, keep your eyes on this one!

Enjoy...
