Silent H!, not really a big name on the scene, brought out an EP called Monstrumental. The EP contains 6 original tracks. I'm going to give you guys 2 of them, both really worth listening to. First one is called Megatron, nice electro banger with some lovely synths.
Second one is called The Computer. It has this epic intro and some badass synths going on. Not an easy song to mix into another (neither is Megatron), but it sure bangs...
This is a remix of the epic Black by Haezer done by Bl∆ck Box and M3LT!. That raw and nice fucked up bassline of the original has been kept, changed the rhythm and made it a little harder. Real great remix!
X-Sundays, a radioshow hosted by the “F2U” Dj’s on Housebox radio, had another livestream going on last week. Their monthly livestream already held guest Dj’s like Cyberpunkers, Noize Generation and only play’s alternative electronic music! This time, they had DJ Antention as one of their guests and boy oh boy, he delivered one smashing and banging live set. Be prepared, it’s a hard one! http://www.mediafire.com/?e4e3jo6mgl117ec
01 - Redial - The Boss (DJ Antention Remix) 02 - Dj Antention - Poison 03 - Dj Antention - Gun Ready 04 - Dj Antention - Gett 05 - Dj Antention - AK 47 06 - Dj Antention - Rapid Fire 07 - Dj Antention - ???
Haezer is giving away a free remix of “L'Amere Conspiration – Clash“!! The intro is amazing and the rest of the track speaks for itself. It’s a soft master, so just add some gain and bounce to those beats.
Vecho team: Jarno (producer) on the left, Frederik (dj and design) on the right.
The boys from Vecho made some very tasty remixes once more, very heavy and trashy, as it should be. Amazing that those tracks are all made by a dude who only just turned 18, Jarno van der veken. I basically like everything they pump out, but these 2 are just that bit extra awesome... It's hard to explain why, so why don't you just listen?
The original is a big fat bomb already, this remix just skips the easy going part, and makes the hard part even harder. Sweet.
And I have another remix for Redial's venom, which has some awesome parts as well! It's been remixed by Snapcrack, who filtered, stretched and scratched the original, creating this second awesome remix.
If you regularly check this page, you sure have read something about Haezer. This South-African motherfucker is conquering the world at a speed that Hitler would have been jealous at. Because his second European tour was starting at the Fuse club in Brussels, I thought it was a great idea to go ask him some questions.
When I became a fan of you on facebook, you only had like 2000 fans, and that was somewhere in the month of april I think. Now you almost have 6500 fans, how does it feel to be in the middle of such a hype?
Well, actually I don't feel like I'm so famous. I still feel like a baby when compared to the real big guns, but I'm only producing for a year and a half, and I'd rather grow a bit slow instead of booming now and not being cool anymore in a year. And after all, what kind of an indication of popularity is facebook? With just one click, you can become a fan of my music, so it's not very hard to get a lot of "fans" there.
Your musicdoesn't really sound like something that girls would like to listen to, but when I look at pictures from your party's, there are a lot of girls in the crowd. Is it always like that, or does the photographer just like to take pictures from the girls?
Haha, when I started playing only boys came to my shows to dance, but now the public is a bit more mixed. I also think that boys and girls like to express their dark side, and my music gives them a chance to do that.
What is it like to start a career in South-Africa? Is there a big audience for your kind of music?
When I started producing, there were a lot of people who were playing the hard kind of electro, but they didn't made their own tracks. But there was an audience for it, and I was the first to start producing. A few months ago I started a new party concept with Markus Wormstorm, called garden boys, to keep the scene going in Cape town.
So I assume that the scene in South-Africa is now a bit bigger, are there any cool projects we should keep an eye on?
Yeah, it's maybe a bit false, because they are actually friends of mine, but I really likeDouble-Adapter.
This is your first gig ever in Belgium, what do you know from the scene here?
I know Gtronic of course, because I played with him a few times, and then I have a lot of projects that I don't know where they're from. Like Trashing Teenagers, apparently they are from Belgium, but I was totally unaware of that until some time. What would be your perfect party?
I love party's where there aren't too many people, but everybody is partying his ass off, and is totally fucked up!
From all the tracks and remixes that you've done, which one is your favourite? My favourite remix would be the one I made for Wasabi's - Killer king. It's my newest remix, and I tried to make it a little different than my usual stuff. I will also be opening with it tonight!
And your favourite track?
Hmm, that's a difficult one... I actually like all my tracks, but if I have to pick one, I'll take "It's not our fault", because the vocal is so cool.
If you were as amazed as I was about the first Ep from Comic Strips that I posted a few days ago, you're definitely going to love this. The man has pumped out some pretty solid remixes, and I had a wonderful time listening to them.
Favorites you ask? They're all amazing, but the Babylon remix is a bomb heavier than the one dropped on Hiroshima. It's even better than the Pink is Punk remix, and that one was already better than the awesome original. Download the remixes in better quality here.
My second favorite is the one he did for Amanda Blank's "might like you better". I have 5 remixes for that track on my computer, but this one is actually the only one that I dig.
It's been a really long time since I shared an OMGITM mixtape, but the last installment in the series was crafted by Haezer, the South-African electro anarchist. If you are familiar with his work, you know what to expect - some of the hardest electro to be found on this planet. Enjoy!
Mustard Pimp made this psychedelic video for their "Paper" track in collaboration with Arno Coenen, a dutch multimedia artist from the Netherlands. Looks like a pretty funny bad trip to me! If you want to start guessing which collabo's will be featured on their album, go and have a look at their facebook fanpage. I'm already all excited about it!
Haezer made a pretty sweet track to honour the king of all secret agents (James Bond of course). It already gained support from Pance Party, Trashing Teenagers, Tom Deluxx and other ratrabbit favourites. You'd be mad if you let this freebee slip through your finger! James Bond Motherfucker!
F2u just keeps on progressing, just like the other guys with a 2 in their name, P2t. The track can best be described as some decent electro pumps anal infected with a banana, and the video... Well, I think the video is pretty funny, and the images fits nice with the music. Using a couple of video's that fall under the "so bad that it's funny" category worked perfectly this time!
Time's a bitch, especially when you're already running low on it... Due to the combination of my holiday job and my re-exams, it took me way to long to find a moment where I could check all our mails. So sorry for the long waiting, I hope that my choice of songs will compensate your lack of trash-music...
I'll start with Trashing Teenagers, those 2 bastards seem to get better and better every minute! I have a downloadable original, which must be one of the most distorted tracks ever made. Don't let your parents hear this, or you'll get sent straight to the psychatric hospital for "thinking noise is music". So, only listen when you're able to put the volume at its fullest!
I could basically throw all their remixes in, but after a few listens the one they made for Haezer turned out to be my favorite. Check their other remixes on their Soundcloud!
Haezer Ft Circe - Here Come The Punks (Trashing Teenagers Remix)PREVIEW by TrashingTeenagers?! After Trashing Teenagers, even guys like Krftkds and Trashthis sound like some sort of classical componist when compared at heavyness. But that's probably just my ears who are happy to get some rest. This track will be able to please a greater amount of people, but the real trash lovers have found one of their new Gods in the teenagers. Don't get fooled - this still is way too heavy for your mom!
Every summer, there are overplayed songs that I sort of liked in the beginning, but that irritate me after I hear it played by dj's. Other tracks, like "we no speak americano", have been a pain in the ass for me from the very first that I heard them. "One", from the Swedish house mafia is a song that fits in category 2 - I never saw what was so special about it. But if a guy named Rocco Rampino, aka Congorock, remixes it... You can never know what to expect! The overall feeling of the track can be compared to his own masterpiece "Babylon".

If you follow this blog since early april (or earlier), you'll probably still remember who the fuck Haezer is. This South-African dj and producer has boomed since then, and his highly anticipated "Who the fuck is Haezer"-Ep dropped this week on beatport (check all the remixes and buy it here). Remixes from Cyberpunkers, Trumpdisco, Noize Generation,... 7 in total, and from those the remix Cyberpunkers pumped out is my favourite. It blows your head off with it's hoarse, even a bit sexy vocals, combined with the pumping cycles of madness that we know from the Italian punkers. Haezer - Who the fuck is Haezer (Cyberpunkers remix) (I hate the fact that it this version cuts off before the end, I'd love to hear more of that...)
There was a time when we got our hands on awesome Trumpdisco remixes and originals almost every 2 or 3 weeks, but their stream of promo stuff was set on hold for a few months. This doesn't mean that they were being lazy during that time, in fact they are looking for labels to release their stuff. A small 2 weeks ago they uploaded a bunch of new & old stuff on their soundcloud, I think that you should definitely check all that... I'm gonna do that myself too, but my neck still needs some recovery from all the headbanging sessions from the last few days! Their take on Haezer's track is typical for them, a simple, pumping beat pattern under thick layers of trash and distortion. And that's why Trumpdisco is so fuckin' genius! Lately, I have been really digging the "Haezer" sound which springs from Cape Town, the capital of Western Cape, which at his turn is a province in South-Africa.
Ebenhaezer small should be his real name, so tells facebook. To be honest, I have never heard about such a name but I hope facebook speaks the truth here, because I think it is one awesome name.
So, now we know where to find him and who to ask for, lets talk about his music.
Cape Town has a population of around 3 million of people and Haezer found his own way to distinguish himself from this mass: hard, noisy and trashy music supplemented by some exhilarating vocals.
After listening to some of his new tracks, I asked him if he wanted to share some new stuff with my fellow Ratrabbits.
HAEZER has also recently (december) organised a remix contest for his original track "Crack In The Wall". In february this year, he announced his top 5.
If you like his music: check out his myspace, visit his facebook page, his soundcloud page, undress yourself dancing and yelling on his music,... To end with some African words:
If you want to send us tracks, money, girls, booze, free entrance tickets for party's,... just contact us at: ratrabbitsblog@gmail.com. We will listen to it carefully and definitely post the stuff we like!
