I hope you guys don't forgot that Blatta & Inesha still exists because it has been such an awfully long time since my last post... They're alive and kicking, and they never stopped being awesome. Their new track is not fidget anymore (but the genre is completely dead, so that's kinda obvious), but a hard bleepy noise blender, with a basso grasso (or fat bass, for the poor bastards that don't speak italian - like me) underneath. Dirty techno electro sir!
I think that the next song is a bit older already, but it surely won't do any bad to promote it a little more! Ado has been working on his way to the top of the electro scene since a few years now, but it's only recently that he found his way to a bigger public. His latest remix of his own track "Multiply me" is an extra justification for this recent success, since it is a lot less trashier, while it still keeps that heavy rave feeling that I love so much in all his tracks. He totally recalled it, without selling his soul to the masses.
Mental Groove records, the label from French electro god Don Rimini, released an absolutely amazing compilation about a week ago. It contains a bunch of old tracks (or at least some of them are already relaay old), that for some reason never got released. Things from Ado, Modek and Blatta & Inesha feat Edu K stand proudly next to stuff from artists that I had never heard from before this release, like Tagteam Terror, TiTan & Scuolo Furano and The Town.
All of the tracks on this release are pure gold, it's a real shame that no one released them earlier... I recommend you run to your record farmer as soon as you've finished reading this, or just be lazy and click on the beatport link I included below, because I know that you all like to be lazy.
To make your hand go to your wallet even faster, I have permission to share one of the tracks of the release for free. It just so happens to be one of my favorites, Pancadao Supersonico from Blatta & Inesha feat. Edu K. I have been craving for this track since the very first time I heard it, which was most likely in their own Omgitm mix from more than a year ago. The bassline just goes so well with the vocals, this track is an absolute dream!
Mustard Pimp has finally released their Schinichi Osawa remix, to give a little bit of extra promotion for their "Rock Paper Scissors" Ep, which is coming out the 15th of june on Beatport. The 29th it's available everywhere, in the meantime, ejnoy this one!
Sawgood made a brand new mixtape, called "the bacteria mix part 1". It starts real dark and heavy, and gradually gets a bit lighter, with some dubstep and drum & bass parts. A perfect mixtape to lower the pressure caused by fuckin' exams!
I was planning to do a small, normal post today, but when I checked our inbox, I realised that I had to do another wrap-up. There was just to many good stuff!
It's been quite a long time since we shared some good mixtapes with you, but I think that a new Burn Paris Burn-tape will fill this need. It comes from the drunk Sicilians better known as Blatta & Inesha, who made a very typical intro for this tape. Paul from Mustard Pimp, the guys themselves and another dude who are singing "Con te partiro" from Bocelli. The tape itself is filled with trashy, filthy and fidget-ty songs, the way mixtapes have to be!
Burn Paris Burn # 3 - Blatta & Inesha by burnparisburn VNDL, who got featured on this page in March(check that post here), made a new original. It's dark, heavy, trashy, distorted and ravey electro, but he actually got a bit of his inspiration from a hardcore track. Iszoloscope, a hardcore producer who's also living in Montreal, made a track, the "in the face of descent". And he sampled the orchestral from it in his latest production, called "Scope Iszolo". Preview it on his souncloud here, or download with the mediafire link.
Deafman keeps on making stuff that amaze me from the very first time I hear them, "Motocompo" is no different. With their blend of electro and techno, these guys are sure to pop off!
I also found this remix from Shax, it really gives this gypsy song the punch it needs! Starts real weird, gypsy style, but it gets hard, I promise you!
Ok, from now on, you can expect these kind of posts after a few days without new stuff on our page, or just when I feel like doing one. I will throw in lots of info and songs, who don't have any relation to each other, except that they're all banging!
We'll start with Designer Drugs "Riot/Drop down" Ep. The original Ep was released in October last year, and now they are going to release a remix Ep. Stereoheroes and Mustard Pimp were called to remix-duty, and the results can be previewed below. I am really liking the Stereoheroes remix, the drop at 1.13 minutes is just insane!
We informed you earlier about Dj Mehdi and Riton's new project, called Carte Blanche. Their debut Ep will be released on Ed Bangers, and we were able to get our hands on a copy of "Gare Du Nord". Which is truly a prime-time banger, but judge for yourself!
And to end this post, one interesting fact: did you know that the "woop woop" vocals in warp 1.9, weren't sung by Steve Aoki? That's right, you believed that for almost a year, and if it wasn't for me, you would still be living in this misbelief. They are actually sung by A girl and a gun, if you listen carefully you can recognise her voice.
Kasual Cocktail has a brand new site, check it here!
Oh my god! It has been an awful long time since we shared a new mixtape with you... Maybe it's not such a bad thing, after all, you need time to listen to it! We were sometimes sharing to much of them for you guys to listen to them all... But why do I like mixtapes so much than? A whole bunch of reasons, such as: -You can hear what a dj will most likely play when you see him in a club or festival -It's a manner of staying in the spotlights when you don't have new tracks (or just don't have tracks yet) as a producer -It's fun to listen to, and you might get some dj'ing hints from them -Producers can include their upcoming hits, so that people get a sneak preview of them, without having to worry that the piece gets ripped out of its context (and in the rare occasion that it is done, well... let those peeps who did it enjoy it! They are not hurting you by doing this) -Experiments, like minimixes (where you can showcase your fast mixing skills) or megamixes (Jack Bauer mixtape from Mustard Pimp as an extreme example) are always welcome!
Regardless of those advantages, to much is to much... listening to mixtapes as a blogger takes a big bite out of your "music checking" time, so that's the reason why tracks are a much better way to start a career (Gtronic anyone?). But today, I have 2 tapes for you that you will definitely dig! The first one is from my mates the Beatbouncers, a name that's new to this blog, but certainly not to the Belgian scene. They haven't pumped out anything that we could post until now, so this banging mixtape is a good start for those who have never heard of them. Blocking the sun for sure!
The second one is a new from the pimps, for their friends Blatta & Inesha. Mustard Pimp has included a lot of unknown (and unreleased) songs from producers that we here at Ratrabbits dig very much, along with some of their own upcoming bangers. The ones that we knew already, were some of the best tunes from the past month. Towards the end, it gets a little special, with a hardcore track and a french singer/songwriter tune. Great mix, and it's only 30 minutes long!
My excuses for the 3 days without a single post, but I had a very busy, very nice weekend full of parties and family stuff. But now I'm back with a shitload of electro bangers, I'm sure you will enjoy them!
Almost a full year after the release of the original "Cherry/Kiwi"-EP, Mustard Pimp comes out with a new Ep, full of remixes. The dopeness comes from some ratrabbit-favorites, Blatta & Inesha, Gtronic, Ikki, Chewy Chocolate Cookies,... None of these tracks will leave you behind disappointed, but my favorites are the Gtronic, Blatta & Inesha and Gigi Barocco remix. Naughtiness everywhere! Buy the whole damn thing on Beatport!
1. Cherry ft. Kali (Chewy Chocolate Cookies Remix) 2. Cherry ft. Kali (Blatta & Inesha Remix) 3. Cherry ft. Kali (Taku Takahashi Remix) 4. Cherry ft. Kali (Rayflash Remix) 5. Cherry ft. Kali (Ikki Remix) 6. Cherry ft. Kali (Ajapai Remix) 7. Kiwi (Gtronic 'Big Bass' Remix) Gtronic's "Just another Bass mix" (not the official rmx, but it doesn't sounds very different) 8. Kiwi (Gigi Barocco Remix) 9. Kiwi (Booty Bronx Remix)
"I am the pope of dope, I am from Wallifornia. Dirty sound from Belgium, WOA, WOA!" The Subs teamed up with the Partyharders squad to make the track "Pope of Dope". Let me tell you that the outcome is even better than the title of the track. Some silly vocals usually do the trick, and if they are boosted by a phat bass, nothing can go wrong anymore! BOOM!
The Australian duo The Aston Shuffle released their new Ep "I wanna see you" last friday, and it contains 3 banging remixes, from which I will share to you the most banging ones: Harvard Bass and Malente. Dancefloor burning shit, what else could you expect from our hero Victor Ramos (Aka Harvard Bass)? The one from Malente might even be better, nice build-ups, breakdowns and everything in between. Mjammjam!
The Aston Shuffle - I wanna see you The Aston Shuffle - I wanna see you (Harvard Bass rmx) (removed on request) The Aston Shuffle - I wanna see you (Malente remix) (removed on request) The Aston Shuffle - I wanna see you (DCUP rmx)
Bonus: And there's even a bonus track, highly recommended! Good old Blatta & Inesha never disappoint me, 2 remixes from them in the same post: dopeness like only the pope can do!
Figure has again expanded his musical horizons. This time he made an acid remix for Paul Anthony's "Cocaine" track. This man's production skills are truly amazing, he never failed to amaze me. His switching of genres only increases my love for him, he's not afraid to try new stuff. I think that's enough praise for now, just download, play, love and tell your friends about it.
Snapcrack, a brand new French electro duo started their career with 2 banging electro/rave tracks, a remix for overthrill, and an original. Decent electro shit, it's violent and melodic at the same time.
When I need a little music to get in the mood for a drunk party, Blatta & Inesha never fail to feed my needs. The latest track they shared on soundcloud is "what's the time", a collaboration with Whiskey Pete. I think that I have all the tracks from their Omgitm mixtape now, which means that I finally will stop listening to it. That's how it goes with great mixtapes full of unknown tracks: when ever track is released, I'm tired of the tape and I never listen to it again. Anyways, this is the track, and it's great!
And, I almost forgot... BANGDUCK finally dropped. The long awaited answer from Afrojack to bangkok is a remix with a blink, he wanted to show that his sound was stolen by Boris Dlugosch. But don't worry, they won't start dissing each other like rappers do. To the ones who can't make sense of the vocals: afrojack is from the netherlands, so the vocals are in dutch.
Let's start with a mixtape by DD&JJ, a Belgian DJ duo who's in love with the beats of fidget.
In the past they were known as the Electromechs, who reached a DJ contest final versus Commonphase, Ashbro and many others. Have a listen to their latest mixtape: Eletromechs R Dead.
7Steve Aoki - I'm In The House (Killafornia Simple Edit)

18Punk Rolla - Getting Better (Original Mix)
The Electromechs changed their style from electro to fidget, but we swap it the other way around: from fidget to electro!
Nadisko made this really awesome mixtape which we featured some time ago (I think I listened to it 30 times or something), and a cool track. Because we were so hyped by it, they were kind enough to sent us their newest beauty, a remix for Inxs and Par-T-one. Their previous remix was a bit dreamy, this one is more straight-forward electro, but it's a killer too. Hot hot hot!
We got 2 mails from french trash electro acts today, Geometry and Jean Balaise. Jean Balaise have released an ep (G.O.D.) with remixes from Doctr, Slayer Trash and the Good Guys. The remixers twist the song a little, but not so much that it becomes another genre. New Cake, the label on which the Ep is released, gave away the whole ep for free! This is the kind of music that makes your parents shake their heads in disappointment and say: "Do you call this music?" Yeah, I guess you know what I'm talking about.
Jean Balaise - Salauds de pauvres Jean Balaise - Salauds de pauvres (Doctr remix) Jean Balaise - Salauds de pauvres (Slayer trash remix) Jean Balaise - Salauds de pauvres (the Good guys remake)
Geometry, the other upcoming french trash duo, made a track which is great for a lot of dancefloors. The more chill parts are abruptly broken by a distorted bassline, awesome stuff!
And last but not least, Blatta & Inesha have released another track which got featured on their legendary "Oh my god it's techno music" supermix. Every time I see a song from that mix popping up somewhere, I am so stoked, unbelievable how much energy they put in their tracks.
Gtronic's "Iron man" Ep is out now on Bmkltsch records! With remixes from Stereoheroes, Hostage and Ebokai. This track started the whole hype for Gtronic, it got picked up by big guns like the Bloody Beetroots and, well let's just say by a lot of dj's, too many to name them all. Now it's finally available on beatport!
Tomorrow (6 december, St. Nicholas' bithday), all the well-behaved kids get their annual deal of candy and toys, but since you guys have been so nasty (downloading all those songs whithout paying, you should be ashamed!), you get absolutely nothing! So, no toys, no candy, no chocolate,... Nah, just joking! and to prove it, I've got this for you:
Bobermann (probably better known to you guys as Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo from the Bloody Beetroots) remixed the Bloody Beetroots song "warp 1.9". I see you thinking: he remixed a song from his own? Yes he did, but this time Tommy Tea (other half of Bloody Beetroots) has nothing to do with it. The song will be released on "Christmas Vendetta, Spares of Romborama", coming out 8th of december.
Mustard pimp had the honour to make the next "Oh my god it's techno music!" mixtape (number 19 already). Other famous dj's who made a mix for this project are: Blatta&Inesha, Dirty Disco Youth, Sound of Stereo, Mightyfools, Malente,... Quality guaranteed!
Sawgood is making "chainsaw-electro", the electro that makes me willing to lose myself into the music and party forever.
Clément Mulot from Sawgood has just sent us some tracks and a mixtape to celebrate the release of his collaboration with A Girl And A Gun, called "Teenage Blitz". This is a minimix with remixes from Blatta & Inesha (they played it in their awesome Omgitm Mix), The Bulgarian, Ajapai, Kick-Oh, SHAX, Charlie P. & DZE.
01. Ajapai Remix (Hard Dubstep) 02. Blatta & Inesha Remix (Ass Bleeding Electro) 03. Charlie P. & DZE Remix (Dubstep) 04. Kick-Oh Remix - Dub (Fidget Bassline) 05. Kick-OH Remix - (Fidget Bassline) 06. SHAX Remix (Clubby Electro) 07. The Bulgarian Remix (Minimal Tropical Techno) 08. Original (Electro Bassline Freakget)
More Sawgood: when I was chatting with Clément, he gave me a part of his set at Fight Klub from last friday, and he also promised us an interview. So you can expect that real soon, keep an eye on us! The live set includes some original tracks, some trumpdisco remixes, and other Ultra-hard trash! LOVIN' IT!
