Rolling in the nebula

This guys, was what I needed to make this beautiful day complete. An amazing EP by Nadisko filled up with trashy shit. We gave you the preview of it in january and now it's 100% ready! Not convinced yet? Well it contains remixes by X-ettl, Tom Deluxx and The S. If even this didn't make you directly want to hear the whole EP... well fuck off then and get your life sorted out. Crazy fuck!

NEBULA EP - Nadisko by Girl_A

Really good remixes of non-electronic songs don't come around that often, but the British Dj/producer Gold Top really pulled it off. The amazing vocals of Adele mixed with some crazy synth and beats.

Fresh Disko

Nadisko will be releasing a new Ep on tuff em up records in March, and they've put a teaser online. My favorite tunes are "Ringer" and "Extortion". Ringer is a very happy tune, which will surely make you jump and long for the festival season. Extortion is rather the opposite, this sounds like it came from Haezer's cave when he had a really bad temper and wanted to make something extra violent...

To make some fuzz around their new EP, they are giving a new remix away for free. It's a remix for Jeff Wayne's "Eve of the war", the theme song for 2005's blockbuster "War of the worlds". It sounds pretty epic, I think this is a good song to start a set with!

Fresh Foolish is a project by 2 Italian Dj's/producers, who are kinda new to the scene. They have already created quite a name for themselves, with a release on crux records scheduled and a first Ep with vocals from a girl and a gun. I went through their soundcloud to pick my favorites, and these are the ones that I found:

This track is plain old heavy electro, a bit trashy, without becoming too chaotic - like trash has to sound.

This remix is a dubstep/electro blend for the remix competition for swagger by Dem Slackers, it hopefully will make you bang your head as much as it did to me...

Important:

You probably noticed that we can't run this blog on a regular basis, because me and Dislabled both have lots of other stuff to do (Electrobanging, if you read this - Post!). But if you think that you can be a good team member for us, by writing posts about hard electro, you can contact us!

Just send a mail to: ratrabbitsblog@gmail.com, subject "writer".

Requirements:
- You have to be good in english (a few mistakes are not such a big deal, but I have to correct al of them, so you're not coming in if you can't make decent posts)
- You love the harder kind of electro, and you are willing to do some research to find it
- Find yourself a fancy name to sign your posts with
- Always write a bit about the artist and/or song you promote, don't just throw a bunch of songs at our readers.
- It would be nice if you came from the dutch part of Belgium, but that's not necessary.

What do you get:
- Access to our mailbox, with all the tracks, mixes, and whatever else in it.
- Access to our facebook account, so you can talk to your favorite dj's and producers in the chat.
- Tons of respect from us, the writers, and the electro community in general.

I hope I'll find some decent bloggers with this, because I really want this blog to go big :)!

Happy birthday!

I almost forgot that we exist exactly 1 year today. At the 22th of october in 2009 I wrote my first post, giving my first readers some of my all-time favorite tracks. Illstm, Disco Villains, Trumpdisco, Mashed Paper Klub and Felix Cartal were the dudes that got honored by a post that day, and I still love them all. It's been a nice year, I got to know a lot of cool projects that I never would have run into if I wasn't doing this. But let's just cut the crap, and get to the birthday gifts right?

Gtronic and Nadisko mixed the first Tuff em up compilation cd, called "first blood". I received 3 of those as a gift from Gtronic, because we were supporting him since a long time. I kept one for myself, so that means that I have 2 of those left. I'm giving these away to our Belgian readers (I don't have the money to ship this to the other side of the world)! All you have to do is comment on this post why you would like to receive this cd, and the 2 funniest comments win! Kinda easy isn't it?

After a week I'll pick the comments that I laughed the most with, and I'll contact them to make sure the cd gets in the right hands.

This cd features tracks by Gtronic, Polymorphic, The Oddword, Autodidakt,... I guarantee that you'll party your ass off!

Don't we all love (I love) techno?

Deafman, a project where I have talked about a lot recently, are aiming for the big fat fish with their latest track. They participated at I love techno's big talent hunt (U love techno), with their track "Power to the people". They didn't promote it, but still it has a solid lead on all the other (At the moment that I'm writing this, 119 tracks are participating) entries, which is only fair if you ask me. Support and listen to the track here! (5 hearts of course!)
If they win this, the track will be released on beatport!

Nadisko released their first Ep on "Monkey see, monkey do!" the 27th of may, called Check your Disco. It contains 2 originals and 2 remixes (Serial Chillers and Modek), and it really gave me a tough time to pick my favourite... In fact I really don't have one, they are all great for different reasons! The 2 originals are noisy club bangers, and the Modek remix makes it even noisy-er. The Serial Chillers rmx has car alarms in it, but it surprisingly turns out to be something else than the plague called "Dutch House". That fact alone should convince you to give the Ep a listen! Buy it on Itunes, Beatport,...

First Blood!

If you have followed our posts on Gtronic like a real noise-addict, you might remember us quoting the man himself "I don't like making mixtapes, I'd rather get famous with tracks and remixes."(or at least something like that). One of the thoughts that popped up in my mind when I heard this was: what if they asked him for something like BBC's essential mix? He wouldn't let that chance slip trough his fingers would he?
And I was right - we didn't had to wait for an essential mix (let's pray that one's still in the pipeline!)-, Gtronic made a mixtape cd for trashbags, and that mixtape was aired on Studio Brussel (Belgian radio station) last friday.

The tracklist is definitely bangin', filled with some stuff that you will probably hear for the very first time!

Gtronic - Mixtape for Trashbags and Studio Brussel (direct link, 96 kbps)

1. Kolt 13 ft. WEB - Love at the speed of light (Gtronic remix)
2. Gooseflesh - Blow up
3. WAT - Ground Zero (Dilemn remix)
4. The Mould - Soldier take a rifle
5. Audiodidakt - Shit your rack (Proxy remix)
6. Polymorphic - Move faster
7. MMMatthias - LIES (La tourette remix)
8. Haezer - Who the fuck is haezer? (cyberpunkers remix)
9. Barretso - We won't stop (Saint pauli Remix)
10. Rotze - Lowlife (Dyebox Remix)
11. Trumpdisco - Not for me
12. The oddword - Kortelas (vnnr remix)
13. DJ Antention - Go
14. Gtronic - Sucker punch

The mix cd where the mix is featured on (First Blood) in full quality, will be released only in Australia, with another set from Nadisko on side B. Definitely worth your well earned bucks if you live down under!

BAAD disko

Nadisko, our Australian noisebringers (together with Trumpdisco of course), have a brand new mixtape. This mixtape will stay forever in your minds, hearts and souls because of that first track...

It's Sucker Punch from Gtronic, a tune where I've told you something about a few posts ago. This is a killer tune, even Gtronic hasn't made anything so good and heavy. The other tracks in the mix keep up the vibe that starts those first minutes, and you won't stop banging your head for 20 minutes.

The third track is one from the guys themselves, named Ringer. Keep an eye open for the release of this one, it will be remixed by some serious big guns!

Nadisko May 2010 Mix by Nadisko

Sucker Punch - GTRONIC

Kortelaas (VNNR Remix) - The Oddword

Ringer - Nadisko

Pop and Jerk (Clouds Remix) - ADO!

Driver - Gooseflesh

Rox Sox - Uppermost

Mad - Elite Force

Kazane (Disco Of Doom Remix) - Hiroki Esashika

Fuck Us We're Famous (Now) - C'est Exact Jack

Fan Out - Surkin

Manege 88 is a french co-project between Romain Mika & Dorian Trawka, and besides the fact that they have one of the weirdest band names ever, they make some pretty funny tunes. Their remix for Oizo's "positif" had even more absurd vocals and a fatter beat than the original, and now they remixed Baadman's "Mort Subite" Ep (which actually came out in january).

Baadman is a solo project of Arthur Dutil, a young French gun. He's currently living in Caen, a town in northern France, he will soon take over his whole country if he continues like this! His production skills are surprisingly well, and this lad is only 15 years old... He has played with guys like Don Rimini, The Bloody Beetroots,... And more will follow!

Definitely 2 projects to keep an eye on!

Baadman - Mort subite original

Baadman - Mort subite (Manège 88 remix)

Damaged Case - Requiem (Baadman remix)

Mr. Oizo - Positif (Manège 88 remix) (real old one, but if you haven't heard it yet, this is your chance!)

Electro or Fidget? These are all bangers!

Let's start with a mixtape by DD&JJ, a Belgian DJ duo who's in love with the beats of fidget.
In the past they were known as the Electromechs, who reached a DJ contest final versus Commonphase, Ashbro and many others. Have a listen to their latest mixtape: Eletromechs R Dead.

1 Drake - Forever (Serial Chillers Remix)
2 Tom Stephan - Turn that shit up (Diplo Remix)
3 Bart Be More - Romance (Original Mix)

6 Lazy Rich - Funkjet (Jay Robinson & SupaBeatz Remix)
7 Steve Aoki - I'm In The House (Killafornia Simple Edit)

17 Green Velvet ft. Santiago & Bushido - Turn It Up (Original Mix)
18 Punk Rolla - Getting Better (Original Mix)

The Electromechs changed their style from electro to fidget, but we swap it the other way around: from fidget to electro!

Nadisko made this really awesome mixtape which we featured some time ago (I think I listened to it 30 times or something), and a cool track. Because we were so hyped by it, they were kind enough to sent us their newest beauty, a remix for Inxs and Par-T-one.
Their previous remix was a bit dreamy, this one is more straight-forward electro, but it's a killer too. Hot hot hot!

INXS vs Par-t-one - I'm so crazy (Nadisko remix)

We got 2 mails from french trash electro acts today,
Geometry and Jean Balaise. Jean Balaise have released an ep (G.O.D.) with remixes from Doctr, Slayer Trash and the Good Guys. The remixers twist the song a little, but not so much that it becomes another genre. New Cake, the label on which the Ep is released, gave away the whole ep for free!
This is the kind of music that makes your parents shake their heads in disappointment and say: "Do you call this music?"
Yeah, I guess you know what I'm talking about.

Geometry, the other upcoming french trash duo, made a track which is great for a lot of dancefloors. The more chill parts are abruptly broken by a distorted bassline, awesome stuff!

Geometry - Succeeded in the riot

And last but not least, Blatta & Inesha have released another track which got featured on their legendary "Oh my god it's techno music" supermix. Every time I see a song from that mix popping up somewhere, I am so stoked, unbelievable how much energy they put in their tracks.
