F to B

This post was scheduled to be online thursday, but destiny (and my exam of metaphysics) had other things in store for it...
I guess having exams sucks...
Work sucks harder though!

After the heart stopping announcements of my last post, it would be wise to calm down and post some relaxing stuff. So that's what I did...
"Huh wait? Is this Ratrabbits? This can't be happening?"
Ok, I lied! Relaxing is for old people, not for a bunch of party-harders! How about some F2u and Bullwack to get that adrenaline pumping?

F2u will be releasing an EP on Bonds records on the 17th of februari, it will consist out of 2 original tracks (I hyped the videoclip for one of them in september already, check that post here) Bad Mad Man and Virus. I'm not allowed to post those originals, but there are some remixes ready from producers who don't want their stuff to be released. Weird, but I won't complain, because that means I can freely share them!

The credits for these excellent remixes go to Feedback and W.A.R.!

I got to know Bullwack from his remix for Comic Strips, and I got reminded of his existence again a few days ago when I saw a very touching post on his facebook wall. He wanted more plays on his myspace, because it was embarrassing to only have 2 plays for each track. I don't give a fuck about myspace actually, but I did went to his page to check his tunes. The one that I immediately loved was this one:

I guess I am sort of obliged to keep an eye on him now, you don't make stuff that good by chance... I'll start with checking his whole soundcloud after my exam on monday (Right now that means)!

F2U!!

F2U are two disturbed guys from Portugal who love to make innocent people jump and get mad with very loud and distorded bassline’s. I'm in love with all their tracks! Their just CRAZY! They have made massive remixes like a remix of Barbra Streisand, Rapid Fire Remix, Blast Remix, .... MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THEM ALL!

Another thing that I need to say is that my tests are beginning tomorrow so you will not see many posts from me the next couple of weeks.

Let's go Barbra!

The highly anticipated Ep from Dem Slackers is finally out on Bmkltsch records. I've got a permission to share the Bart B More "Oldskool" remix (there is also a "Lessgo" remix). Both remixes have basically the same build-up, but the drop is totally different. The "Oldskool" remix goes for the kids that still like to rave, while the "Lessgo" fits in with the more calm trends of today. Both remixes are cool, but I personally prefer the "Oldskool" remix. I'll always be a raver I guess... The original "Let's go" and the Peacetreaty remix are worth your well earned bucks too!

The second track of the Ep, Swagger (Ft. Dan Stezo), was mixed by Clouds and Evil Nine. I highly prefer the Clouds remix, because the typical hardness from the "we're so not funny that it gets funny" guys from Edinburgh always gets me excited. The original track is a piece of high quality distortion rave sounds, but for that, you will have to get your ass to beatport to buy the full Ep!

Now that even your dog knows what a damn catchy track Barbra Streisand from Duck sauce is, it's up to the remixers to rework it. The tricky thing about it is to surprise the crowds with a track that keeps the good things from the original intact, but also adds a personal touch. F2U tried, and nailed it for the full 100 %. Not everyone's piece of cake I guess, but this is a very nice, harder rework from one of the most hyped tracks of the year. Enjoy!

Mad Paper Haezer

Mustard Pimp made this psychedelic video for their "Paper" track in collaboration with Arno Coenen, a dutch multimedia artist from the Netherlands. Looks like a pretty funny bad trip to me! If you want to start guessing which collabo's will be featured on their album, go and have a look at their facebook fanpage. I'm already all excited about it!

Haezer made a pretty sweet track to honour the king of all secret agents (James Bond of course). It already gained support from Pance Party, Trashing Teenagers, Tom Deluxx and other ratrabbit favourites. You'd be mad if you let this freebee slip through your finger! James Bond Motherfucker!

F2u just keeps on progressing, just like the other guys with a 2 in their name, P2t. The track can best be described as some decent electro pumps anal infected with a banana, and the video... Well, I think the video is pretty funny, and the images fits nice with the music. Using a couple of video's that fall under the "so bad that it's funny" category worked perfectly this time!

When I grow up I want more time to keep this blog alive

I will really try to get the posting back to a normal rate from the moment that the new university year starts (late september), but for now I can only do my best to bring you some fresh banging stuff.

The Illstm promo mixtape for All Leather's Remix Ep (15 remixers for 5 songs) has arrived a few days ago, and it surely will give you an uncontrollable urge to dance (and to buy the full EP on the 17th - which is today). Even when the style of remixes is very different, this guy is still able to pull brilliant transitions out of his sleeve. Respect for that! Also, he finally seems to get a bit of the attention he deserves - making the official promo mixtape for one of Dim Mak's biggest artists. Enjoy!

ALL LEATHER - WHEN I GROW UP I WANNA FUCK LIKE A REMIX (Official Promo Mix by IllStM) by IllStM

F2U is a project that began as one of the lucky dudes who caught our attention by mail, and now I am regularly amazed by the stuff they pump out. Their first Ep, released on Cheese & Leek Soup records, is called "Black Circus". We have got a green light to share some tracks of that Ep, so here they are! The original "drown the clown" mixes ravey and distorted beats with a more classic piano sample, the result is perfect to set a festival tent on fire. Noize Generation's remix is a more classic trash song, but nobody said there's anything wrong with that - the 2 versions are sick! Check other tracks by them on their soundcloud.

Buy the whole Ep on Juno

Bonus:

Jack Beats song "revolution" was a blog hit a few weeks ago, and a few months earlier even a setrip would make bloggers go nuts. Supported by Crookers and probably loads of others, but I'll just mention the crookers because I heard them play it myself. Talking about summer hits and things that make people freak - Where is Barbra Streisand from Duck Sauce?!?

F2u on the loose

F2u dj's, a duo from Lisbon in Portugal, have sent us a big fat mail with a shitload of music from them. After a few listens, I have to say that some of their tunes are really good. The best track is their remix for Noize Generation (a dude from Germany), this is some real trashy pounding electro stuff! (will be released on Live-in music)

Noize Generation - Ghetto Rave (F2U Remix) PREVIEW by F2Udjs

The other track that I was digging was a rmx they made for "La la land". They call it "F2u in the hardcore land remix, but I don't see much Hardcore in it. Let us be grateful for that!

Finle - La La Land (F2U In The Hardcore Land Remix) preview by F2Udjs

If you like, check other tracks on their soundcloud!

The Loose Cannons, a London based duo that's starting to receive some well deserved attention, sent us a mail with their take on "Wolfen" from Boy 8-bit. It starts rather weird, but the beat is nasty and a bit distorted, just the way we love it! The last minute a vocal comes in, adding a mysterious atmosphere to the track.
