Rock me on electro!

I normally don't promote party's, no matter how awesome their line-up is...
But for this one, I am making an exception! Rock me on electro is bringing Trumpdisco to Belgium, one of my favorite artists of all time. They are pretty much the only ones that I already knew 3 years ago and that I still like now. Besides, in all that time they never got their asses out of Australia, which makes this even more special...
First time in Europe, first time in Belgium, probably the first time I will get an orgasm from hearing an electro set,...

And oh yeah, that's not even everything...

The rest of the line-up makes me even more excited!

Gtronic!

Redial!

Dr. Philth!

And 1 more special guest which is not yet announced.

Where, when, why, fee, how, what, whoop whoop?

Where: Fuse, Brussels
When: 18th of february
Why: You don't want your grandchildren to be bullied because "Haha, his grandpa (or grandma, in case there are girls reading this) wasn't there when Trumpdisco made everyone get so wild that the world stood still for a moment! LOSER!"
Fee: Just 10 lousy euro's, but grandparents stories are prizeless...
How: just get your ass down there, and let the music take control
What: probably the best party of your whole life
Whoop Whoop: You bet!

Ps: I haven't said anything about Gtronic or the other guys playing there, but don't get me wrong: their awesome too! Trumpdisco is just that little bit more special because their my favorite aussies, and I've seen tha G a couple of times already.

They have made a new EP called Wrath of God. The EP is amazingly good! Remixes by: Trumpdisco, The Oddword, F.O.O.L, Owl Vision and Wonkap!!! OMG!!

Trumpdisco EP

After some delay, the Trumpdisco EP is finally out! All five tracks are bangers of a kind rare to be heard nowadays, trashy, but not so trashy that only the boys will like it. My favourite is "not drowning, raving", but I'm just a sucker for silly vocals (Winzlow has no... dick!) and grinding basslines. "Bullshit" and "Spade" are bangers just the same, but this time the vocals are somewhat less silly - not to say that there aren't any (except one big fat "bullshit" in, you've guessed it, "Bullshit"). "The big wrench" is the track that I would use as an opener, it starts melodic and slow, and after the drop the party is determined to start! The last track is a bit of a setback, not because it's not a good one, but every self respecting Trumpdisco fan has this track in his itunes for more than a year already. But if Trumpdisco is new for you, you should definitely give "1971" a listen!

The phantoms of Melbourne

My favourite Aussies Trumpdisco have found a label to release their first Ep on. The label's brand new, TGM posted something about it in his "melbounicano" post. I'm not sure which tracks the Ep will contain, but I'm guessing that "Bullshit", the song formerly known as "Dark" and "Not drowning, raving" will be on it (those songs are my favorites). We'll see after the weekend if I was right, because it's going to be launched this weekend. Check the Common Trolls page to check that, and download the Ep minimix below to ease the pain. Aussie fans had a chance to download this mix if they went to a Trumpdisco Ep launch party, for all the fans in the rest of the world this is the first chance they get to download this 30 minute piece of electro heaven.

In a few weeks it's halloween, which is apparently the favorite holiday for Figure. As long as he keeps on making such sick tunes, I really don't give a fuck what holiday it is. The Phantom is a vintage Figure track, meaning that it has big pianos, grinding basslines and some cool vocals ripped from a movie. The movie in this track is "The Phantom of the Opera", a classic horror film based on a book (actually there have been made several films and plays for it). This track will be the first in a series, and they will all be based on a horror movie. Enjoy!

Who's da' best!?

Just a quickie for today, I'm to tired from yesterdays party to write a lot. But I have got some nice free Ep's in my box, let's hope they are worth a share so I can throw them online in my next post.

Trumpdisco remixed a song from Shunda K (a florida based hip-hop producer), and it has not become a vintage Trumpdisco song... Much of the hip-hop parts are kept intact, and the track doesn't even have that lovely grinding sound that we know from their other tracks.
Well, what does it sound like then huh?
Can you even call it real Trumpdisco?
Is it as good as their other tracks?
All those questions must 've popped your mind if you are familiar with the number 1 Australian trash masters. There's no need to worry though, the track is a nasty dubstep-hip-hop blend, and it's a bit more mainstream than their usual trash. I am glad to see that they are also capable of producing other genres, and I'll be sure to keep you posted about their Ep which will drop next week!

Haezer? I know who the fuck he is!

If you follow this blog since early april (or earlier), you'll probably still remember who the fuck Haezer is. This South-African dj and producer has boomed since then, and his highly anticipated "Who the fuck is Haezer"-Ep dropped this week on beatport (check all the remixes and buy it here). Remixes from Cyberpunkers, Trumpdisco, Noize Generation,... 7 in total, and from those the remix Cyberpunkers pumped out is my favourite. It blows your head off with it's hoarse, even a bit sexy vocals, combined with the pumping cycles of madness that we know from the Italian punkers.

Haezer - Who the fuck is Haezer (Cyberpunkers remix)
(I hate the fact that it this version cuts off before the end, I'd love to hear more of that...)

There was a time when we got our hands on awesome Trumpdisco remixes and originals almost every 2 or 3 weeks, but their stream of promo stuff was set on hold for a few months. This doesn't mean that they were being lazy during that time, in fact they are looking for labels to release their stuff. A small 2 weeks ago they uploaded a bunch of new & old stuff on their soundcloud, I think that you should definitely check all that... I'm gonna do that myself too, but my neck still needs some recovery from all the headbanging sessions from the last few days!
Their take on Haezer's track is typical for them, a simple, pumping beat pattern under thick layers of trash and distortion. And that's why Trumpdisco is so fuckin' genius!
Haezer-WTFIH-TrumpdiscoRemix promo by Trumpdisco

The Noize Generation remix aims for a more casual trash feeling, with looped vocals and a sample that seems to come straight from a metal song. This gives it an agressive and ravey atmoshpere (not something that girls would like I think), perfect for a sweaty mosh-pit at a festival!

West Corner: 51'6'N - 2'39'E

It has been quite a long time that I wanted to post about "Beat & Bang". A lack of time made me delay my intentions.

Now that I have finally found some time: behold my eternal word-spreading masterpiece!

In the past two years the Belgian DJ trio
Beat & Bang was formed by three rather young DJ's: DJ Ramzez (Ramses Vandelanotte), Sir^Conflex (Ben Peperstraete) and Wall-E (Bram Wallyn).

Recently they have been experimenting and producing a lot of original tracks which they are sending into the idealistic world of music.

It seems to be worth the effort, as they are gaining more and more recognition in the Belgian electro scene.

They had for example the chance to share decks with the lacks of Soda 'N Suds, Shaved Monkeys, Kill Frenzy,... Which proves again that the younger part of the Belgian electro scene has been forming one little family.

Even more important: pretty soon Beat & Bang will have their first official release.

Personally, I think this Beat & Bang formation has shown us a lot of potential.

I have some tracks for my fellow Ratrabbits in order to sort out your opinion:

Beat & Bang - Beat Conductor
Beat & Bang - Bassey
Audio Bully's - We Don't Care (Beat & Bang Neither Remix)

(I really like the hard parts after the drop.)

Other Beat & Bang tracks:

Beat & Bang - Ouch
Beat & Bang - Bling Bling

Beat & Bang - WTF
Beat & Bang - Ambient Monster

You can hear them all at:
Beat & Bang Soundcloud

Hope you guys like it!

Bonus:

My favourite Australian DJ duo "Trumpdisco" has finally shared another original track with the blog world in which they have sampled some vocals from the movie (comedy) "Step Brothers".

Trash and no trash

Trumpdisco had a difficult time earlier this month, because someone stole their cd's (read the original article about that event here). Luckily the guy who stole them was so kind (or afraid?) to give them back, so they can continue to smash ears in the future.
They also have a new remix for Rammstein, which is typical, hard, trashy shit.
How could it be otherwise? Rammstein + Trumpdisco ( Metal + trash) = eargrinding!

Rammstein - Sonne (Trumpdisco remix)

A guy from Djibouti (small country in East-Africa, between Ethiopia and Jemen) talked to me about the fact that we don't seem to give away any other stuff than trash.
Which is true btw. And I said : yeah, but that's what the people want!?
But he had a point there, ladies and gentlemen. He linked me to his project, Paco Blanco, where he had some real nice tech-house/tribal productions. Normally I don't like tech-house, but this track is in fact very original, and it keeps sticking in my head. He also has a side project, Tipsy, but that myspace seems to be deleted.
He uses chopped up vocals, drums and even a mooing cow, to create a pure gem. Get it!

Jingle Bells

I was looking for some gifts to share with our dearest readers, but wasn't able to get my hands on some awesome bangers. I did found one though, a remix for Jingle Bells by our favourite Aussies, Trumpdisco!

Jingle bells - Trumpdisco

Something a little softer: Netsky remixed Mike Snow's "Black and Blue", this one's Drum & bass orientated, no trashy shit in this one!

Disco villains say: Ice Ice Baby!

A fresh Disco Villains tune, they remixed Vanilla's Ice classic "Ice Ice baby", typical Disco Villains stuff (= awesome). They might be coming to Europe around march/april, but they are still looking for some more gigs to get their flight costs completely covered. So if you want to see a fuckin' great party, give them some money so they can come over!

Vanilla Ice - Ice ice baby (Disco Villains remix)

Woohoow!
Just found a new Trumpdisco track, so I thought it was my duty to give it to you guys!

Phoenix - 1901 (Trumpdisco vs Violate)

Soundboysrock are a french duo from Troyes, who made a cool remix for Todd Terry and Tara Mcdonald's track "play on". Since it's an electro remix, they made it more ravey, with a great build-up and some high noises in the background. Got me jumping from the first time I heard it, something that's not so easy since I've been listening to so much electro music lately.

Get your mind blown

Today I am introducing two different electro acts.

What do they have in common? They both got, highly unexpected, one of their banging tracks dropped by The Bloody Beetroots.

Let's start with our own Belgian DJ / Producer Gtronic, which has become pretty famous, after his destructive track Iron Man. (The Bloody Beetroots dropping it + Tommy Tea more than loving it.)

Pretty soon (December) the Iron Man EP will be released which will include different remixes. (Probably a Stereoheroes remix, a Hostage remix and a Boemklatsch remix.)

I am sharing the remix (edit) Gtronic did for Dutch DJ / Producer Devnik. I think it hasn't got blogged up till now, so make sure you get this one.

Devnik - Concrete (Gtronic Party Edit)

Check out his myspace for his other new and upcoming stuff!

Second act is the Australian electro band "Trumpdisco".

The Bloody Beetroots started dropping their remix from Fatboy Slim's "Right Here, Right Now" this summer. It's one of their more catchy and let's say "commercial" remixes, but in my opinion it is a pretty solid track and it definitely made me going wild as hell when the Beetroots dropped it live.

I am really a huge fan of the tracks this guys are producing. Up till now, there is no Trumpisco original or remix which hasn't blew my mind of.

In this post I am sharing a minimix Trumpdisco made, including all their latest / upcoming originals and remixes. It is definitely more than worth your time!

Trumpdisco - Minimix

Tracklist:
1. Rammstein - Sonne (Trumpdisco Remix)
2. Trumpdisco - Bullshit
3. Trumpdisco - Dark
4. Phoenix - 1901 (Violate vs. Trumpdisco Remix)... Meer weergeven
5. Fatboy Slim - Right Here Right Now (Trumpdisco Remix)
6. Trumpdisco - Sonar
7. Marble Sharps - Side Effects (Trumpdisco Remix)
8. Trumpdisco - Hoax Strikes Again
9. P.O.L. Style - Vampire Killah (Trumpdisco Remix) [Nightshifters]
10. The White Electric - Into You (Trumpdisco Remix)
11. The Greenskeepers - Planet (Trumpdisco Remix) [Brooklyn Fire]
12. Trumpdisco - Not Drowning, Raving
13. Gigi Barocco - Puah (Trumpdisco Remix)

Get it while it's hot!

Bonus: The Mould

The Proxy and his friend Polymorphic recently discovered Russian producer "The Mould". In an interview Proxy did for Bunch.TV he briefly told something about this guy. I searched some extra information, but that's pretty hard to find. I am posting the man's myspace because I haven't found any tracks from The Mould. (Yet!) Make sure you check this out, heavy, heavy Proxy-sounding shit! I guess we will hear more from this guy in the near future!

8000

A few days ago, I found the unripped version of 8000 by the proxy. So I just thought I'd share it with you guys, because the set-rip from Tiga at werchter isn't quiet what I call "high quality". For those who haven't heard from this song before, it's a bit weird, not something that's typical for the proxy, but I think it kick's ass! Sounds like gnome walking around in the forest, doing a typical "gnome-dance".

But then on a beat. Of course, you are free to make up your own stories about this song, I'll be glad to hear them!

The Proxy - 8000 (non-ripped version)

This is the official video for 8000, showing some typical soviet images, like uhm, drunk soldiers and stuff.

The Proxy - 8000 from Turbo Recordings on Vimeo.

Bonus:

The "who are you" ep concludes "8000", and of course "who are you". You should all know the bloody beetroots remix from "who (the fuck) are you" by now, but you shouldn't forget about the original too! The trumpdisco remix is, just like all their other remixes, a song that leaves the core of the original like it was, and then they give the rest a whole new touch. You should definitely check it, hope you guys dig!

First Post, Big Bang!

Dear blog readers,

This post will go into history as TGM's first Ratrabbits post. There is no need to give myself a whole introduction. I will just post the stuff I personally like. It can be huge bangers or softer, even romantic tracks. The only requirement is that I love what I post.

First up is the new (and free) Nightshifters EP Vampire Killah, brought to you by the Japanese DJ / procuder Dj P.OL. Style.

The EP features remixes from the lacks of LOL Boys, Rob Threezy, DJ Donna Summer and, yeah yeah yeah: Trumpdisco.

I will give you the Trumpdisco remix, which I am digging the most. I am also posting the original, to be able to compare both tracks.

The original track is a house / B-more track with a catchy synth. The guys from Trumpdisco (Australia) made it harder and filthier!

The full free EP is at 320 so get it quick my friends!

Dj P.OL. Style - Vampire Killah

Enjoy!

Bonus: Ratrabbits going mad at I Love Techno 2009 when Bloody Beetroots drop Fatboy Slim - Right Here, Right Now (Trumpdisco Remix)!

Introducing...

Hi,

I am turtle tosser, one of the three writers of this blog. We are a band of partypeople, who decided to make a blog. Our style of music is kind of the same: banging electro, distorted noises, some fidget and every now and then we add a little dubstep to the mix. Because this is my first post, I will give you some
of my favorite songs. I know they're not fresh, but I have loved them forever, and never understood why dj's don't play them.

Trumpdisco is an Australian duo, who have made excellent remixes for fatboy slim, mr. oizo, freeland and even lord of the rings! Their original tracks are also, in my opinion, great floorfillers. This song is one of my favorite remixes they made, and their trademark (noisy, distorted beats) comes out very well in this one. enjoy!

boy 8-bit - the suspense is killing me (trumpdisco remix)

I don't know many artists from norway, and I don't suppose that there are a lot of electro artists down there. Anyway, Illstm comes from this cold and snowy place, which is enough to pay some attention to it! Here's a mustard pimp remix from him, this song gave me party-energy for months, unbelievable nobody noticed this one...

Mustard pimp - RER D (Illstm violence mix)

Next up: Mashed paper klub, two young lads from belgium who throw excellent party's in brussels ( check http://www.fightklub.be/). They are more then party people, just check their video for this remix on their myspace and you know what I mean.

Hools - Don Rimini (mashed paper klub feat. floating remix)

In California, Disco villains seem to be pretty big. Here in Europe they are known because they made some songs who made it to the top of the hype machine's popular chart (justice's we are your friends, wu tang clan, N.E.R.D.,...). The remix that I love the most, is one for technotronic, a belgian r&b group from the nineties.

Technotronic - pump up the jam (disco villains remix)

My last song for now is one from felix cartal, a guy from Canada, who makes very trashy electro music. "I never liked music, until I heard my own" he says on his myspace. and when you hear his productions, one can understand why.

Laidback Luke - Need your loving (Felix Cartal remix)

Hope you enjoyed these tracks, and spread the word please!
