One of the reasons why I love the “oh my god it’s techno music” mix-series so much, is that there are always a bunch of unreleased, and unknown tracks in it.I always search the whole tracklist for the best stuff, and for the one that Illstm made, I definitely dig this track the most:
This British group, under contract by Kitsuné,remixed their own track,it’s a rather long build-up (don’t worry, not so long as threnody), but when you reach the 2 minutes mark, get ready to start a party. And you won’t be able to end it!
The last Dirty Disco Youth track we posted had to be removed only 4 hours after we posted it, but I think it’s safe to post this one. He remixed a song by bilderbuch, and as you can probably tell from the name already, it’s a german group. The vocals are also in german, this makes the song very cheesy, but I think you can get some positive crowd reaction with it.
Let's start with a mixtape by DD&JJ, a Belgian DJ duo who's in love with the beats of fidget.
In the past they were known as the Electromechs, who reached a DJ contest final versus Commonphase, Ashbro and many others. Have a listen to their latest mixtape: Eletromechs R Dead.

The Electromechs changed their style from electro to fidget, but we swap it the other way around: from fidget to electro!
Nadisko made this really awesome mixtape which we featured some time ago (I think I listened to it 30 times or something), and a cool track. Because we were so hyped by it, they were kind enough to sent us their newest beauty, a remix for Inxs and Par-T-one. Their previous remix was a bit dreamy, this one is more straight-forward electro, but it's a killer too. Hot hot hot!
We got 2 mails from french trash electro acts today, Geometry and Jean Balaise. Jean Balaise have released an ep (G.O.D.) with remixes from Doctr, Slayer Trash and the Good Guys. The remixers twist the song a little, but not so much that it becomes another genre. New Cake, the label on which the Ep is released, gave away the whole ep for free! This is the kind of music that makes your parents shake their heads in disappointment and say: "Do you call this music?" Yeah, I guess you know what I'm talking about.
Jean Balaise - Salauds de pauvres Jean Balaise - Salauds de pauvres (Doctr remix) Jean Balaise - Salauds de pauvres (Slayer trash remix) Jean Balaise - Salauds de pauvres (the Good guys remake)
Geometry, the other upcoming french trash duo, made a track which is great for a lot of dancefloors. The more chill parts are abruptly broken by a distorted bassline, awesome stuff!
And last but not least, Blatta & Inesha have released another track which got featured on their legendary "Oh my god it's techno music" supermix. Every time I see a song from that mix popping up somewhere, I am so stoked, unbelievable how much energy they put in their tracks.
First off all I want to apologise for the lack of posts in the last few days, it's due to a combination of slacking, technical problems, being tired from exams and even more slacking.
This would normally have been posted yesterday, but the blogspot server didn't work properly.
Woohoow! A new "Oh my god, it's techno music!" mixtape! This time "Norsh God" Illstm had the honour to make it, and as always, this is well worth your precious time. If you haven't heard from him, you should definitely check out his remix for mustard pimp's Rer D.
Trumpdisco had a difficult time earlier this month, because someone stole their cd's (read the original article about that event here). Luckily the guy who stole them was so kind (or afraid?) to give them back, so they can continue to smash ears in the future. They also have a new remix for Rammstein, which is typical, hard, trashy shit. How could it be otherwise? Rammstein + Trumpdisco ( Metal + trash) = eargrinding! Rammstein - Sonne (Trumpdisco remix)
A guy from Djibouti (small country in East-Africa, between Ethiopia and Jemen) talked to me about the fact that we don't seem to give away any other stuff than trash. Which is true btw. And I said : yeah, but that's what the people want!? But he had a point there, ladies and gentlemen. He linked me to his project, Paco Blanco, where he had some real nice tech-house/tribal productions. Normally I don't like tech-house, but this track is in fact very original, and it keeps sticking in my head. He also has a side project, Tipsy, but that myspace seems to be deleted. He uses chopped up vocals, drums and even a mooing cow, to create a pure gem. Get it!
Some of you, the endless amount of die-hard Ratrabbits readers, might remember the interview with Proxy on bunch.tv. If you haven't seen it yet, have a look here.
The Proxy mentioned an unknown artist in this interview, The Mould.
I can understand why Evgeny (most of you call him "Mr. Proxy") said he liked The Mould.
This is heavy shit, I even dare to say it's even harder than his own work! The Mould will probably be releasing some stuff on Mako Records, which is most likely to be Proxy's personal record label. (The site is still under construction)
OK, nuff talk, I guess you all want to know what I'm talking about. "Getto" and "South Getto" have the same base pattern, but with different drops, it's basically a remix of his own stuff.
I was looking for some stuff to post today, when suddenly a friendly guy (only 14!!!) from Belgium asked a bit of my attention on facebook. He asked if I could give his project some love on our blog. PhilTimm is the name, and they produced some cool tunes already. Le Moulin Bleu starts rather chill, but at 1 minute the beat comes in. And it's a bangin' beat, let me tell you that! Ravin Pops is, like the name suggests, a little ravey. Some vocals stuck on repeat, a few drops, very amazing for such young lads! It's of course not one guy, they're actually a trio. I'm looking forward to hear more of them!
Mustard Pimp. They're just crazy. In september they made a 12-hour mixtape, the Hercules mixtape. This time they proved that they don't need sleep at all, by putting together this crazy-ass 24-hour "Jack Bauer-mixtape". Every hour they recorded tunes from another genre, ranging from electro, dubstep, drum&bass, to hip-hop and metal. Tracklist can be found here, at gethypedonthis. Download Jack Bauer mixtape (mediafire folder)
Bobberman's awesome remix of Mitsubitchi, it's a short edit though.
Nic Sarno hasn't been featured on this blog, but he has made some very, very cool tracks. His remake of Eurostarr hasn't been played by ton's of dj's, and I have to say I can't come up with a reason why nobody did (except for the Crookers, they played it in their I love techno compilation). This is a banger in the true sense of the word, capable of turning a dead dancefloor into a sick party in a few sec's.
I guess you all remember Mattafix's "Big city life", a single released in the summer of 2005. It got a lot of plays at radiostations al over Europe, and now P2t made a remix for it. The core of the song stays the same, but of course it's no soul/blues track anymore! Electro, that's what they call it! P2t has a fanpage on facebook since yesterday, I suggest you join it!
I talked a lot about how cool Jack Beats is, but I never posted a song or remix by him. I guess that his time has finally come, because his new remix for Kidda has been released on the blogs. It's not so wobbly as we're used to, it's a more straight-forward electro banger, but still awfully cool!
22 - Toy Quantize - Weather Change (Doc Trashz Remix)
23 - Sickboy - Energy Blast (Tom Deluxx Remix)
24 - Pance Party - Fun Factory
25 - Lil Jon's going to Hell
Figure, I already posted some stuff about him, but this one is really mindblowing! If you have seen the cultmovie the warriors (cult action movie released in 1979), you might recognise the vocals, he has used the speech from Cyrus to create some more atmosphere. For those who haven't seen this movie, I suggest you do it immediately! Heavy Dubstep/4-4 bass, like he calls it himself. I agree completely with him! Can you dig it?!
One part of the Squatters (Oliver Portamento aka Baldy squatter) teamed up with one half of Cold blank (Mr. Gaspar) to make this cool track. Timbaland's hip-hop track is changed into a Fidget/jackin tune, perfect to heat up dancefloors.
OH MY GOD IT'S TECHNO MUSIC! (Intro) FCKN (Crew) - Slaughter Phoenix - 1901 ( Trumpdisco vs. Violate remix ) SebastiAn - Threnody ( Capt and Cook. Edit ) Project cyborg vs. Laidback luke - OhOh! vs. Break the House down (GSUS! 2BANGERS MASH) Geht's Noch? - Horny ( Original mix ) Slash 'n Turn - Trompoloco Shaved Monkeys - Get Rough Suds 'n Soda - We do it again ( Dirty Disco Youth remix ) Designer Drugs - Drop Down ( Mendel remix ) Congorock - Babylon Lazy Rich - Funkjet ( Jay Robinson & SupahBeatz remix ) Green Velvet ft. Santiago & Bushido - Turn it up Sound of Stereo - Zipper Spencer & Hill - Funk Parliament Drake - Forever ( Serial Chillers Drop the mix remix ) The Bloody Beetroots - Warp 1.9 ( Gtronic's BadAss remix )
Nadisko is an australian Dj-duo, and they have been part of the trashbags (an Australian blog/party organiser) posse-dj's for 8 months already. They have produced a number of originals an remixes already, and know they want to share their latest remix for Veronica's Veil, "Fandeath. they also gave us their december mixtape, which is filled with first class trash and other bangin' tunes. Definitely worth a check!
1. Toxic Is Dead - The Toxic Avenger 2. Elvi$ - Felix Da Housecat (2manydjs Edit) 3. House N° 84 - The Bloody Beetroots 4. Plugged - Ado! 5. Disco Check - Nadisko 6. As you probably know already (since it popped up on basically every electro-blog of the planet), SebastiAn made a new song. It's called Threnody, and it's fucking amazing! Oh wait, did I said amazing? I meant its terribly annoying, I couldn't listen to the whole damn 11-minutes long intro, and the break that comes after this torture isn't that good either. So I went looking for some remixes or edits that made this track a little more acceptable, and I found these two:
Seriously, why would you need an 11 minute intro? If you dropped it in a set, half of the public is bored already by the time something happens. But you have to say that Ed Banger knows how to create a buzz. The blogosphère has been waiting forever for new SebastiAn tracks forever, and with this one, the label will be watched with even more caution since everybody wants to know if the rest of SebastiAn's album sounds the same. Or maybe not, we will see what the future has in store for us!
Calvertron is a guy from the UK, with an impressive amount of productions so far. He has released stuff on Pottymouth, Legacy Kids club,... and on his own label "Jack Knife records". His sound is wobbly and bobbly, perfect stuff for in a club.
Calvertron - Doo doo (this one sample's the classic "Tom's Diner" by Suzanne Vega and Badman sound by Hostage) The Prodigy - Thunder (Calvertron remix) Chaka Khan - Feel for you (Calvertron remix)
We had to delete the download links, because someone didn't wanted us to share em. Sorry guys!
The Subs edited Boys Noize's "I love Techno - Anthem" "Nott", they didn't changed a lot in it, but I'm digging it enough to share it.
Kill frenzy made this "Oizo-esque" track "54321", and it's a killer! If anyone can tell me what the name is of the original, I would be very thankfull.
The Oddword made this track a whole wile ago, but for a stupid reason, I never was able to find it. I did now, so enjoy their best track so far (in my opinion). I recommend setting the volume at it's maximum for this one!
I probably should have posted this months ago, better late then never I guess. A little Balkan/tech diamond, made by Riva Starr. I'm not really digging this whole tech/midget, new-house thing, but if they are as funny as this one, I'm not complaining. The video features some images from "Black cat, white cat", a movie released in 1998. I'm sure you will have a few laughs when watching the movie, so give it a chance.
Enough slow tempo shit for now, we all know you like it hard! This one really sounds like Birdy nam nam's track "Worried" (maybe it samples it? I don't know, but I heard a similarity from the first listen).
Digital lab remixed SonicC's summer hit "Stickin'", the essence of the original stays intact, but this is a great remix if you have grown tired of the original (like me)
If you want to send us tracks, money, girls, booze, free entrance tickets for party's,... just contact us at: ratrabbitsblog@gmail.com. We will listen to it carefully and definitely post the stuff we like!
