Sawin' Really Good!

Sawgood is making "chainsaw-electro", the electro that makes me willing to lose myself into the music and party forever.

Clément Mulot from Sawgood has just sent us some tracks and a mixtape to celebrate the release of his collaboration with A Girl And A Gun, called "Teenage Blitz". This is a minimix with remixes from Blatta & Inesha (they played it in their awesome Omgitm Mix), The Bulgarian, Ajapai, Kick-Oh,

The live set includes some original tracks, some trumpdisco remixes, and other Ultra-hard trash! LOVIN' IT!

Proxy's complete circle

Evgeny Pozharnov aka Proxy said in his interview with bunch.tv that he was a d&b man, and I thought he was joking, because his normal stuff is everything but drum&bass. This last remix he did for the prodigy changed my mind. There are indeed some typical d&b sounds in this remix, but his trademark, heavy, hard, electro that you know from tracks like "Raven", "Dancing in the dark", his remix for Digitalism's "Home zone" and all his other great tracks, stays intact. You could say that the circle is now complete: after seeing the Prodigy in 1997, Proxy knew that he wanted to make music. He know remixes his former heroes, and he also had the honour to open their shows in Russia.

In his interview with Dazed Digital he says that his noisy sound originates from the hard life he led in Russia, and that he can't imagine a life without his music. Very mysterious man, as Kissy Sell Out once said about him on bbc radio 1 during his "In new dj's we trust" radio show.

The prodigy - Invaders must die (Proxy remix)
Zombie Nation - Shottieville (Proxy remix) (oldie, but it didn't got the attention it deserved)

Diplo (one half of Major lazer, the other one is also known by the name of Switch) is still doing some sick stuff besides his co-project. Here he remixes Tom Stephan's "Turn that shit up", and it sounds very nice! Some "lazer-esque" sounds, which should be enough to give it some love. I'm also giving you the original, this one is more electro and disco orientated.

Tom Stephan - Turn that shit up (Diplo remix)
Tom Stephan - Turn that shit up (original mix)

Get jacked by a Japanese and an Italian!

Shinichi Osawa & Nima Tahmasebi (Nt89) did a collaboration, which resulted in this banger called "Kyouki". Osawa normally makes electro tracks with some pop/rock influences, like his track "Star guitar" which has been a favorite from me ever since Dr. lektroluv played it at pukkelpop 2008. This track is more Nt89-like, with lots of hyperkinetic beats and bleeps.

Shinichi Osawa & Nt89 - Kyouki

Soda 'n' suds is the name of an electro project, existing out of Thibaud Dezyn and Mathieu Seynaeve. Their roots lay in Leuven, where they organise crazy parties under the name "Jacked". The central guest at the latest editions was Dj manaia, he played at the party in Leuven and in Kortrijk. Manaia also made a remix for their latest track called "fuck house", and both this remix and the original are pure bangers.

Soda 'n' suds - Fuck house (original)
Soda 'n' suds - Fuck house (Dj Manaia mashed up style remix)

Bonus:
Dj manaia played this remix from the imperial march (for those who didn't recognised the picture above: it's a song from Star Wars) at jacked. And because Star Wars is both nerdy and cool, you should give this shit a bit of your precious time.

Klipar - Imperial march

New Jacks

Nujax had releases on a couple of big record labels like Fools Gold (from A-trak), Ed banger (from... well, from the hype) and Mad decent (big names like Jack Beats and Diplo). Their tracks "Super duper fly" and "Zumbi"(original from Major Lazer) sounds like the typical wobbly bass from wobbly bass-master Jack Beats, but then a little distorted. The Nujax remix for "Shake it down" is the best I heard until now, with a nice drop, and maximum use of the vocals for the build-up. Their roots lay in Montreal, Canada.

Nujax - Super Duper Fly
Major Lazer - Zumbi (Nujax Remix)
Laidback Luke & A-trak - Shake It Down (Nujax Remix)

Mechanical resistance has sent us their new track "pedrolita" which is some decent, typical Mechanical stuff. Their Rammstein remix, in contrary, is something completely different. This sounds more like metal than an electro edit of a metal song, but it's still worth a look! The video is a recording from a Rammstein concert, with a lot of firework and other over the top stuff.

Momma's Cat

Some of you might have heard something about Mikix the cat, (a producer born in Paris and currently living in Berlin) who made tracks like "outlaw" (imagine a didgeridoo on beats and you get the idea) and "freeze". His tracks were featured in mixtape's from the belgian fidget masters Beatbouncers and Sound of stereo, and you should by now know that we adore Sound of Stereo. So this is a bit older already, but if you didn't got your hands on them, feel free to get em now!

Mikix The Cat - Outlaw
Mikix The Cat - Freeze

A few months ago, I found, on the good old findvoltorbcatchvoltorb, a track from a producer named Momma's Boy. Surprisingly, good old Mikix and Momma's boy is the same dude! Mike Gnacadja is his real name, and with his second alter ego, he seems to get even more attention than before. He has tracks released on the sound pellegrino label, the label to look out for in the future! His track "give it up" is, in my opinion, a true floorfiller, and his remix for hostage will definitely get the crowd movin' too!

Momma's Boy - Give It Up
Hostage - Valhalla(Momma's Boy Remix)

Get your mind blown

Today I am introducing two different electro acts.

What do they have in common? They both got, highly unexpected, one of their banging tracks dropped by The Bloody Beetroots.

Let's start with our own Belgian DJ / Producer Gtronic, which has become pretty famous, after his destructive track Iron Man. (The Bloody Beetroots dropping it + Tommy Tea more than loving it.)

Pretty soon (December) the Iron Man EP will be released which will include different remixes. (Probably a Stereoheroes remix, a Hostage remix and a Boemklatsch remix.)

I am sharing the remix (edit) Gtronic did for Dutch DJ / Producer Devnik. I think it hasn't got blogged up till now, so make sure you get this one.

Devnik - Concrete (Gtronic Party Edit)

Check out his myspace for his other new and upcoming stuff!

Second act is the Australian electro band "Trumpdisco".

The Bloody Beetroots started dropping their remix from Fatboy Slim's "Right Here, Right Now" this summer. It's one of their more catchy and let's say "commercial" remixes, but in my opinion it is a pretty solid track and it definitely made me going wild as hell when the Beetroots dropped it live.

I am really a huge fan of the tracks this guys are producing. Up till now, there is no Trumpisco original or remix which hasn't blew my mind of.

In this post I am sharing a minimix Trumpdisco made, including all their latest / upcoming originals and remixes. It is definitely more than worth your time!

Trumpdisco - Minimix

Tracklist:
1. Rammstein - Sonne (Trumpdisco Remix)
2. Trumpdisco - Bullshit
3. Trumpdisco - Dark
4. Phoenix - 1901 (Violate vs. Trumpdisco Remix)... Meer weergeven
5. Fatboy Slim - Right Here Right Now (Trumpdisco Remix)
6. Trumpdisco - Sonar
7. Marble Sharps - Side Effects (Trumpdisco Remix)
8. Trumpdisco - Hoax Strikes Again
9. P.O.L. Style - Vampire Killah (Trumpdisco Remix) [Nightshifters]
10. The White Electric - Into You (Trumpdisco Remix)
11. The Greenskeepers - Planet (Trumpdisco Remix) [Brooklyn Fire]
12. Trumpdisco - Not Drowning, Raving
13. Gigi Barocco - Puah (Trumpdisco Remix)

Get it while it's hot!

Bonus: The Mould

The Proxy and his friend Polymorphic recently discovered Russian producer "The Mould". In an interview Proxy did for Bunch.TV he briefly told something about this guy. I searched some extra information, but that's pretty hard to find. I am posting the man's myspace because I haven't found any tracks from The Mould. (Yet!) Make sure you check this out, heavy, heavy Proxy-sounding shit! I guess we will hear more from this guy in the near future!

Bangin' Bangkok

Man, what a beautiful track is this! German producer Boris Dlugosch made this track Bangkok, and I'm surely not the only one who's loving it! Annie Mac from Bbc radio 1 gave this track some airplay during her show, and big guns like Boys Noize and Erol Alkan played this track a few times. The female oh's in this song give it a sexy touch, which makes it even better. Nuff said!

Boris Dlugosch - Bangkok (original mix)

Next up: Mechanical resistance, a producer and dj duo from toulouse in France. They play two times a week at the French internet-radio "paris one club", monday between 3 and 4 pm, and thursday between 9 and 10 am. What's even more important for us, they made some bangin' electro tracks! "Dancing fat" is a bit slower then "Stratchy brain", but I'm sure that they both have the power to get a crowd dancing.

Mechanical Resistance - dancing fat
Mechanical Resistance - stratchy brain
Crimewave - cauchemar (mechanical resistance remix)

The masters of Fidget!

They played at I Love Techno, Dour, Pukkelpop, Tomorrowland, 10DaysOff and many more big events. Yes, we are talking about world famous DJs, about 2 DJs whose tracks are supported by MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, DJ Manaia, Mightyfools, Tiga, ... Their names are Vincent De Boeck and Jochen Sablon and they live in the neighbourhood of Bruxelles. I now present you: SOUND OF STEREO!

Let's have a start: Their first track was Nic Nag, discovered by MTV Belgium and used for a radio commercial. And like that, they were first discovered by a Belgian radio station called Studio Brussel. Stijn Maris, one of the presenters of Studio Brussel still is their manager.

In november of 2008 they released their first EP - Zoopah Dupah - which included Supah Dupah, a track that changed the whole fidget scene all over the world! This one is played over 100 times each weekend in Belgium alone. No wonder Dr. Lektroluv was interested for releasing this track on his label.

Hmm, Here We Go Again, bla bla bla! Do you remember March 2, 2009? Yes, indeed! That was a monday. Like I care? But that stupid monday was the day they released their second EP called Heads Up! And they did it again, BOOOMM

Sound of Stereo also made a lot of remixes. But it's like 3am, I'm tired and my inspiration is gone, so just start downloading and get ready to blow up your speakers!

If you want more of their remixes, just google it yourself! Because the time has come to go over to their last EP ZIPPER that'll be released November 23.
This EP includes 3 tracks: Zipper, Velcro & Button. Here's a preview:

And this is why I call them world's best fidget producers of the moment!

Next year they'll also release a full album. I don't know the tracklist, and I even don't know if these tracks'll be on the album. But here are some previews of new tracks coming out soon.

Dr. Lektroluv dropping Chewbox at DOUR Festival 2009. This track is coming out in February 2010.

Another destroyer that is coming soon is Jungle Rumble!

And oh, just that you know it: There's no guarantee on blown up speakers!

Friday 20 November 2009

Eat This Hardcore Fuckers!

You all know these stupid hardcore remixes for rock songs like "Nothing Else Matters" (Metallica), now someone took revenge! With this dubstep remix for Neophyte & Dj Paul Elstak's classic "98 to piano", The Stint (Modek's side project) did a good job.

The creepy atmosphere stays, but now the pounding basses are replaced by typical dubstep sounds. The video that is made for it, in which the maker used some parts of the classic horror movie "Poltergeist", is definitely worth a look.

Neophyte & Dj Paul Elstak - 98 to piano (the stint remix)

Bonus:

I found these remixes a day after my "slaying the bass" post, and I felt like they should have been featured in it. Sharkslayer and Harvard bass at their best!

Drop The Lime - Set Me Free (Harvard Bass Remix)
Steed Lord - Who U With (Sharkslayer Remix)

And now for something completely different!

Laughed my ass of with this one! No relation with music or something, just a very stupid dog.

Don't throw the trash away

Trashcan dj's are a duo from the UK, and they make fidget/rave. Their remix for cheeks' "s'tisfaction" starts like a popsong, and so does the original. Cheeks is not a faggot (what I said in the first edit of this post) but a girl(cheeks myspace)! The original is a slow house-techno track, the remix is much better! They putted the original in a trashcan, and this is the result:

Cheeks - S'tisfaction (Trashcan Dj's Remix)

Belgian's electro duo SNOB electro sound (consisting out of Tom Bouten and Auke Peeters) made this filthy remix for Dada life's hit "happy hands and happy feet", which was played on a lot of radiostations during the last months. As you probably know already, we believe that filthier is equal to better, and this song is no exception to that rule! It's already a bit older, but if you didn't had it yet, now you have! Also check their originals like "the beast".

SNOB Electro Eounds - The Beast

Let's Just Call It Trash-Art Now...

In my previous post about P2t, I said that it just wasn't hard enough to be called trash. Well, with their last beauty in our inbox, I had to change my opinion. This song starts a little easy, the volume isn't maxed out, and then: BOOM! A piece of golden trash! Download this muthafuckaz!

The Killer Rabbits - TKR (P2T remix)

I had some more stuff for you guys but... ratrabbits need sleep to!

Enjoy!

Indestructible

One of the promotors (Marijn Kin / BooKin-dj) of the Dutch electro band "Nobody Beats The Drum" has send us two banging tracks.

Nobody Beats the drum is a band formed by three guys: Sjam Sjamsoedin (Dj+ Producer), Jori Collignon (Keyboards + Producer) and Rogier van der Zwaag (Vj +Director)

The guys became known all around the world due to their Youtube Hit "The Drum". (Click to watch) The Video has already more than 440.000 views on Youtube and it even got blogged by our man from da hood, Kanye West.

In 2009 Nobody Beats The Drum released their debut album "Beats Work". Which you can buy here. (BMKLTSCH RCRDS)

The sound the band creates, is a mix of all kind of different music styles. (Hiphop, electro,...)

We are offering you "Nobody Beats The Drum - Purple cactus", straight from their debut album and a remix done by the Dutch duo Dem Slackers.

Nobody Beats The Drum - Purple Cactus (320)

Enjoy my friends!

8000

A few days ago, I found the unripped version of 8000 by the proxy. So I just thought I'd share it with you guys, because the set-rip from Tiga at werchter isn't quiet what I call "high quality". For those who haven't heard from this song before, it's a bit weird, not something that's typical for the proxy, but I think it kick's ass! Sounds like gnome walking around in the forest, doing a typical "gnome-dance".

But then on a beat. Of course, you are free to make up your own stories about this song, I'll be glad to hear them!

The Proxy - 8000 (non-ripped version)

This is the official video for 8000, showing some typical soviet images, like uhm, drunk soldiers and stuff.

The Proxy - 8000 from Turbo Recordings on Vimeo.

Bonus:

The "who are you" ep concludes "8000", and of course "who are you". You should all know the bloody beetroots remix from "who (the fuck) are you" by now, but you shouldn't forget about the original too! The trumpdisco remix is, just like all their other remixes, a song that leaves the core of the original like it was, and then they give the rest a whole new touch. You should definitely check it, hope you guys dig!

Miaaauw

The French duo Mustard Pimp (Baron Spartan + Paul Escande A.K.A eKa) has sent the official remix it did from "Larry Tee Feat. Roxy Cottontail - Let's Make Nasty" into the blog world .

The electro band Mustard Pimp started producing mid 2008. Baron was already been djing for nine years back then. eKa had been part of a French metal band before he formed Mustard Pimp.

In less then two years they gained a lot of support from other artists, their key to succes.

They have already been tearing the roof in different countries all over the world and they also made al lot of official remixes for artists like Crookers, Steve Aoki, Steed Lord, Dade Life,...

... and for Larry Tee!

Larry Tee Feat. Roxy Cottontail - Let's Make Nasty (Mustard Pimp Remix)

The original track is also remixed by the lacks of Sticky K, Afrojack, ... but already quite a time easy to find on the internet. Check them too!

Other upcoming Mustard Pimp tracks:

Mustard Pimp Feat. Blatta & Inesha - Pigeon Flu (Get your shot on Soundcloud December 1th!)
South Rakkas Crew - Robot Revenge (Mustard Pimp Remix)
Steve Aoki Feat. Romanthony- Dead Meat (Mustard Pimp Remix)

Dada Life - Let's Get Bleeped Tonight ( Mustard Pimp Remix)
Missill - Chuppa (Mustard Pimp Remix)

Don't miss them!

Bonus: The Toxic Avenger - Toxic Is Dead (Cyberpunkers Remix)

A remix I really, really, really love at the moment. Already spread all over the internet, but for those who still don't have their hands on this one. Cyperpunkers are already been introduced in Turtle Tossers' latest post.

Mjammmie!

Classics, Remixes And Almost Trash

In Italy, there seem to be a lot of good dj's/producers. You might have heard from Crookers, Bloody Beetroots, Congorock, Blatta&Inesha,... But there are a lot more artists under the surface! Cyberpunkers for example, they have a lot of cool remixes, and they have a weekly radio show, called "flash in punk". This brings us to the thing where I wanted to get at: Pink is Punk, a duo from Milan. They made some excellent remixes for the beastie boys, mr. oizo, and now they did it again! "Something a la mode's" song "rondo parisiano" is a slow track, with violins and cellos and stuff. But Pink is Punk decided to hide these things behind a wall of electro sounds, and I definitely like the result!

Something A La Mode - Rondo Parisiano (Pink Is Punk Remix)

In 1982, Anne Clark released her instant classic "Our Darkness". The lady is still alive now, but that has little interest to us, a group of electro-junks. We like Lektron's remix for this oldie, so why don't post it? Lektron is a guy from Flanders, Belgium, who's been dj'ing since 2000. Some years ago, he started making his own remixes and tracks, and this is his latest beauty which he made for the Anna Clark Remix Competition.

Anne Clark - Our Darkness (Lektron Remix)

We were completely unaware of the existence of P2t, but thanks to their mail, we now know who they are. It's a duo from France, and they make electro that's just not hard enough to be called trash. Their myspace description: "electronique/electronique/electronique"

P2T - Jump

Time to know Ryan Riback

"Persistence!" That's the word to describe the rising star of the dance music world, Ryan Riback, a fun loving, music maniac with a gift for making strange sounds! Check out his myspace.

Jaimie Fanatic dropping Everybody's Free

He's born and grown up in South Africa, Johannesburg but moved to Australia, Melbourne in 2006.

His first tracks, "Everything in America", "Touch me on the Dance floor" and the dancefloor destroyer "Boom" are released by Vinyl Pusher Records. These tracks are championed by Lee Mortimer (known from the track Blau), Dave Spoon (At Night), JELO and many others...

Laidback luke & Lee Mortimer - Blau [YOUTUBE; not released yet]

In between his own made tracks, Ryan Riback made a lot of remixes like Faces of Meth, Jungle Boogie, Speed Up and Biscuits.
After this work, some big records labels as Sony BMG and Universal wanted Ryan Riback to release for them!
He went on to remix "Can't Hold Back" from Kaz James ft Macy Gray (Bodyrockers) and "White Noise" from The Living End's which returned into two very nice tracks!

Jelo dropping "This is not a Drill"

This year, Ryan Riback is headlining tours in New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
He also has a new remix comping up: Analog People in a Digital World.

Slaying the bass!

Harvard bass and Sharkslayer are definitely two of the hottest producers at the moment, their records are being spinned by the likes of Crookers, Sound of Stereo, Congorock, and many more.

Sharkslayer's roots lay in finland, were we can also find Huoratron (the man with the beard). Their style is very different though, Huoratron has some very trashy electro tunes in his portfolio, while Sharkslayer makes fidget. But just listen to it yourself, why talk about genres here? These tracks are worth a bit of your precious time for sure!

Tune Brothers – Finally (Sharkslayer Nassau edit) (right click, save as)
Daniel Haaksman - Pobum Coco (Sharkslayer bass dub) (direct link)
Hot city - No More (Sharkslayer Nassau edit) (mediafire)
Sharkslayer - Scavengers (zshare)
Steed lord - Who u wit (Sharkslayer remix)

Harvard Bass' career got a kickstart because crookers played his song "caked" a couple of times, and then the other usual suspects followed. This californian producer releases a lot of tracks on sound pellegrino, the label that, in my opinion, will become as huge as ed banger records once was. His remix for Beni's "maximus" was played by almost all the artists I checked at I love techno, the words "maximus, dance with us" were everywhere. The Acid Girls remix was a song that was unknown to me before the event, but unknown does not mean unwanted in this case!

Harvard bass - Caked
Beni - Maximus (Harvard bass remix)
Acid girls - Lightworks (Harvard bass remix)
Drop the lime - Set me free (Harvard bass remix)

Back Once Again With The A-Town Masters

Belgium's (City of Antwerp) most friendly Dj duo "The Oddword" has sent us their new track called "Power People". (The Oddword = Arbotique + YLL!)

The track samples the catchy remix Fatboy Slim did for "Wildchild's"
(= Roger McKenzie) track called "Renegade Master", which became really popular in the late nineties.

The Oddword made Fatboy Slims' remix harder, darker and more agitating but some parts of the track are still pretty funky.

That's what I like about The Oddword's remix.

That's what makes me willing to tear the roof off.

Enough said, find it out for yourself and also check their other tracks on their myspace:

The Oddword - Power People (320)

Tastes a lot better than candy canes!

BOEM!

Forgetting About The Past: The Future

The Australian upcoming producer Distrakt sent us his new original track called "The Future".

Pretty hard, pretty awesome. Makes you go crazy, even just sitting on your chair behind your computer.

I love the vocals he uses when the tracks builds up into the climax: looks like some Alien is trying to make you something clear.

Just find it out for yourself:

Distrakt - The Future (320)

Other upcoming Distrakt tracks and remixes:

Distrakt Feat. NT89 - Pumpin' (December - Boxon Records)
Distrakt - Oh Shit (Keatchen Records)
Niyi - Jungle Fever (Distrakt Remix) (Coming Soon ...)
Clash The Disco - Midget Germs (Distrakt Da Da Da Remix) (Rawjak)
Blatta & Inesha - Fucked Up (Distrakt Remix) (Crux Records)

Mmmmjammie!

The Sound Of Destruction

Aerotronic is a band of three young and talented dj's from the city of Antwerp who make very trashy songs and remixes.

"Eat" remixes a track
from the Belgian trashmetal band "Angelskin".

The remix is just a piece of the most distorted electro you can find! Sebastian's old tracks are from the same grade of "hardness".

Aerotronic - Eat

Frequency samples (guess what) Altern8's rave classic "Frequency" and Aerotronic added their hard, distorted sound to the original.

Aerotronic - Frequency

Supermode's house classic "Tell me why" gets an electro make-over, I LIKE!

Supermode - Tell Me Why (Aerotronic Remix)

Also listen to their new track "Helicopter" on their myspace.

Bonus:

Italian producer NT89 sent us his latest track, called Foxes. For those who have never heard of NT89: he made remixes for Blatta & Inesha, Tiga and Brodinski and his songs get played at bbc radio 1 sometimes.

NT89 - Foxes

Also look out for his collaboration with the Australian upcoming producer Distrakt. Their track is called Pumpin' and it destroys dancefloors. (Already remixed by Gtronic and BeataCue + played by Kissy Sell Out and Jaymo / Andy George on Radio 1)

Partyharders, keep your eyes on this one!

Enjoy...
