Venom - but harder!

Vecho team: Jarno (producer) on the left, Frederik (dj and design) on the right.

The boys from Vecho made some very tasty remixes once more, very heavy and trashy, as it should be. Amazing that those tracks are all made by a dude who only just turned 18, Jarno van der veken. I basically like everything they pump out, but these 2 are just that bit extra awesome... It's hard to explain why, so why don't you just listen?

The original is a big fat bomb already, this remix just skips the easy going part, and makes the hard part even harder. Sweet.

The Black remix for Haezer has the same recipe as the previous one - making a heavy original even harder and trashier.

And I have another remix for Redial's venom, which has some awesome parts as well! It's been remixed by Snapcrack, who filtered, stretched and scratched the original, creating this second awesome remix.

It's a free download by the way :)!

Wrap up # 9

We posted a remix of Dj antention's track Ivan a few months ago, it was remixed by X-ettl, one of the guys from Aerotronic. Vecho made one too, and this one is even harder than the one by X-ettl (oh, poor ears of mine, they really have a tough time nowadays...). I prefer this one over the original and remixes, but you are of course free to disagree with my humble opinion.
Big up for Vecho!

And here is another one remix by Vecho, this time for Redial's "Venom". Sweeeeeeet!

The artist who would definitely have got the Ratrabbits award for "breakthrough artist of 2010" (if it existed), is Comic Strips. I have downloaded everything he has made so far, and 90% of that was pure sex (the other 10% was only foreplay). Not many producers achieve that level of versatility, quality and productivity. And he is only just starting... His latest remix is a bomb that has an impact similar to the one dropped on hiroshima.
It will hit you in you face out of nowhere... It's Sucker Punch by Gtronic!

Temabes is a producer from Moscow, Russia, who seems very eager to let the world know that he is out there, making stuff that bangs and kicks you right in your manhood. This is heavy, dark, grinding, teeth crushing electro like only a sick mind from the former soviet union can make... Prepare...

This remix by Beatbouncers is out since monday, and it's been supported by big guns like Kissy Sell Out, Cyberpunkers, The Oddword, Shameboy,... The sound is a lot heavier then their stuff when they were still a duo, something that I can only be happy about.

The Eleven from the Netherlands is a relative young producer, but his tunes already gained support from Dj's like Dem Slackers, Riptide, Screendeath,... And his track "Pie" will be released on Southern Fried records. His stuff sounds a lot like acid house, but then with a special touch that I can't describe exactly - let's call it the" clouds touch".

Bonus:

I posted a preview of this some time ago, now you can have the full version!

Wrap up # 8

It's been a decent time since the latest installment in this series, but due to all the christmas gifts I get thrown from everywhere, I have a bunch of tracks that really need some attention.

I'll start with a new bootleg from Horse, a guy from Australia, known throughout the galaxy for his insane mash-ups. Now he has taken one of my favorite tracks of all time, Divine Gosa from Radioclit, to the remix-table. The thing with my favorite tracks is that it's really hard to make something that may proudly stand next to the original...
But this one did, although it might be a little more heavy for my taste!

Figure was one of the guys that I loved in the starting days from the blog, but I somehow lost track of him somewhere... Searching through the web I found this massive bootleg for hip-hop collective NWA, which is so heavy I almost fell of my chair, got blown out of my room and landed in a big black hole!
Almost, otherwise I wouldn't sit here writing...

Mr. Magnetik was so kind to share a gift with us, it's a piece of acid that sticks in your brain and stays there until all body functions except your movement are completely eroded.
"Why not the movement?" I can almost SMELL you thinking that! The answer is quite obvious though - you have to dance!

Moore & Lezz will be dropping a very special treat for you, ratrabbits readers, real soon, but in the meantime I have their fresh remix for L&M Bros' "Wario Must Die". They weren't one of the winners of the remix competition though, the boys from L&M had so much trust in their remixing capacities that they asked them to make one.

Doc Trashz is also throwing out presents to everyone who is willing to catch them, and I bet that you will definitely want to catch this one! The buzz around the Tron movie has finally stopped rising, now that it's finally released - but you might want to keep surfing on that hype after you heard this thing!

Dj Antention is quickly becoming the new face of the Russian electro scene, now that the Proxy is working (or at least I hope he is) on his album. His "Ivan" track was already remixed by X-ettl, and now it's also been remixed by Vecho! Dj Antention particulary liked this remix, and apparently the guys from Tuff em up records in Australia liked it too, because they're releasing it! Support the 2 young belgian lads from Vecho by joining their fanpage!

Ok, I think this is finally it...
Post done...
Oh no, what's this? A new Catastrophe Mixtape by Mustard Pimp?!?

I don't think I have to doubt about posting it, especially because their new collaboration with Blatta & Inesha is in there... Love, love, love!

Fuck bass

Depuis 91 are officially the funniest electro producers of the moment (and they probably would end high in the all time rankings too) in my humble opinion. They're giving away their Ep for free, because who except dj's still buys records nowadays? But, feel free to think that you're downloading it illegally, that should make you feel better! If you want to read the whole damn description they wrote to promote this masterpiece, click on the soundcloud link!
If we take a closer look at the tracks, the first thing that crosses my mind is: trashy and melodic at the same time, woohoow! The two originals, Romantiq and Fuck Off, are typical for Depuis 91, if you have gotten your hands on Athlantiq and Erothiq, you know how that sounds.

The Vecho remix is unbelievable HARD, just like always with Vecho (I called him "the new Proxy" a few months ago, but he has really taken his own way, even harder than the Russian general). Preview the tracks with the soundcloud link, and I know you will want to downlad them, so I kindly give you mediafire links too!

Bassmakers, a duo from the Netherlands, attracted our attention with their track "Pirate Party" a few months ago. While that track is still not finished, they gave us 2 other banging tracks, and I'm sure you'll like em. They're supported by Blatta & Inesha, Mustard Pimp, Dem Slackers,... and lots more are to come, this is high quality like we normally only see from Big Guns like - well, basically it sounds a bit like a Mustard Pimp original! My favourite is "hit it!", but "Barbarian" is certified gold aswell!

Aaaaah, spring time!

So this fucking long winter is finally over, and the darkest month ever in Belgium (February had the fewest hours sunlight ever) had to make place for march, and we finally get a little sun and warmth. Now who's gonna give you that summer feeling? Disco Villains maybe?
Disco Villains are back with a laidback "rerub" for a track named chiquetere. Or is it just an original? The rerub-thing might leave you behind in despair, wondering what it is. I would say it doesn't matter, but for the true purists: it is a redo for an old song, but Disco Villains made it totally different. A summer-hit? Let's hope that we hear it a few times at the festivals! They made this song for WMC (Winter Music Conference, a HUGE festival in Miami), so it will definitely get played some times over there.

Disco Villains - chiquetere 2010 rerub

The next songs I have in store for you are a little less summerstyle, they sound more like you're trapped in a snowy, stormy, windy, cold(y) and noisy wall of sound. Real harsh, just like the previous tracks from this young dude from Flanders. I said it was harder than Proxy last time, and I still think that this description fits. Download at own risk!

Shaved monkeys - Get rough (Vecho remix)
Dada Life - Let's get bleeped tonight (Vecho remix)

Sonsu's remix for "you got the love", keeps the vocals that made the original a radio-hit, and ads a fidget-house break. Summer feelings everywhere!

Iron man & the new Proxy!

A little while ago, we gave you some tracks from Gtronic's "Iron man" Ep, and now Stereoheroes gave us their remix of this amazing track. They added some vocals to it, this gives the song a whole new face. Consider it a (belated) Christmas gift from them! If you want to buy the whole Ep in 320 versions, it's available on beatport.

Gtronic - Iron Man (Stereoheroes remix)

Vecho is another great Belgian electro project, their tracks are bombin'! The "Waters of Nazareth" remix starts so fucking hard and loud, I almost couldn't believe my ears! Same story for the "Rombo" remix. I thought the originals couldn't be harder, but Vecho has proven me wrong. They also remixed the militaristic fairytale called "8000", and this remix got me headbanging from the first second. Vecho's sound can be described as typical Proxy noise, I'm really loving it.

Justice - Waters of Nazareth (Vecho remix)
